There are some other kinds of full and partial dentures that differ from traditional permanent dentures including a type called immediate dentures. These dentures are created before the teeth that are being replaced with dentures have been removed and are used immediately after tooth extraction and during the healing process, which can be up to six months long. These dentures can be more easily refitted than permanent dentures to accommodate for mouth changes as the swelling in the gums and jaw subsides while healing. The immediate dentures will be disposed of once the healing process is complete and your mouth is ready for permanent dentures.

We paid for extraction and dentures and it was for 2 sets one to wear until gums heal and so we did but it took so much time because they said not ready on gums. This went on & on and then they would NOT answer their phone when we called for the permanent set (we paid for) and they would not return messages. So 2 years have gone and I am left with the first set used until gum set and they are awful and this place is in Odessa, Texas. They are cheats and liars.

Dr.** simply had to divert attention from her fraud by projecting away from herself.
When you see these low costs advertised, it is almost always a "bait and switch." With dentures, you get about what you pay for, but rarely would you find even average quality for $399-$599 and that is for each, not both. Since well-fitting dentures are essential for good health, to say nothing of cosmetics, one should not consider price alone. Low cost dentures use cheap and "soft" teeth that wear rapidly and look fake, while higher quality teeth last for many years. A removable partial denture or bridge usually consists of replacement teeth attached to a pink or gum-colored plastic base, which is sometimes connected by metal framework that holds the denture in place in the mouth. Partial dentures are used when one or more natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw. A fixed bridge replaces one or more teeth by placing crowns on the teeth on either side of the space and attaching artificial teeth to them. This "bridge" is then cemented into place. I had a really great experience with Affordable Dentures and Implants. My mom has always been afraid of dentists and didn't take care of her teeth. She also had a stroke a few years back which has created a few more barriers to treatment. DENTURES DO NOT FIT! DO NOT USE AFFORDABLE! #BOYCOTTAFFORDABLEDENTURES. My father went in for dentures, they are so loose he cannot eat healthy. The first time he went back they put a liner in the uppers to make them tighter, he is using a lot of Poligrip on both the uppers and lowers. He had teeth removed from the bottom and they waited for the gums to heal before measuring for dentures. It has been about 3 months and the dentures, especially the bottom are so loose it hurts him to eat because food gets stuck under the dentures. It is funny because on his first visit the Affordable dentist made fun of how loose his upper dentures were (he has had them for 4 years), they were done by a different dentist. On his first visit he was told by the dentist that the Affordable dentures would fit tight, they don't!
Always remove your dentures before sleeping to avoid damaging them, dislodging them, and to give your gums some time to relax. Submerge your dentures fully in warm, but not hot, water to keep them from drying out and becoming misshapen. Only use denture soaking solution if your dentures do not have metal components as the solution can tarnish the metal.

Most patients need a few weeks to get used to the feel and use of their new dentures. The lower partial was three times the size it needed to be. It wouldn't fit into my jaw, particularly the right side. Dr. ** continued to tell me my mouth would "adjust" to a denture so big that my tongue wouldn't lay flat. I could not chew, couldn't talk, and couldn't get the partial into my jaw. The week after this bizarre act of dental malpractice, I called for an appointment to have the lowers decreased. I was told that no one could come back until two weeks post-op; even those of us who had no gum swelling, and who had paid for The Package.
Minor fractures in the teeth or acrylic base can usually be repaired by a dental lab in 1 to 2 days. Denture repair kits are even sold at most drugstores and online to fix minor cracks or replace loose teeth. I'm 41 and have needed dentures because of illness for a few years now. I researched and looked at reviews for many different places, but I am so glad I picked Dr. Redditt and his staff to guide me through this emotional journey and process. First off I have been petrified of dentists since I was a little girl, due to a horrible incident, so I of course let the office aware of that and they were very accommodating. Secondly I suffer from a severe & chronic anxiety disorder, so these guys really had their work cut out with me to say the least. Step by step from making my first appointment on the phone, & then for my consultation I was treated very kindly. They explained things very thoroughly to me, and addressed every worry & question I had & there was of course a lot of those coming from me, lol. Day of surgery & I have 25 teeth extracted & a lower bone grafting done, with only novocain and I can tell you that it was made so comfortable & relaxing for me. With my girls guiding me with support through the door & all the way to the room & then Dr. Redditt's calming demeanor, it was the least painful & pleasantly surprising process I have ever experienced. Nothing like the scary things I was thinking in my head. He would joke with me & my husband throughout, and he always told me what his next step was, which I totally appreciated. We were humming along to the music & although I had a couple of stubborn teeth, I felt absolutely no pain or discomfort whatsoever, not even after! No bruising, barely any swelling, I mean nothing horrible or intolerable at all so I know he is a wonderful dentist. He was just awesome! I am now in the second phase and I have gotten to be buddies with pretty much the entire staff there. Them girls & Dr. Redditt spoil me rotten & take care of every complaint I have had.
