Affordable Dentures in Lakewood Colorado. I have only 4 teeth on the top of my mouth. This causes me to be pretty depressed. Maybe this is why I fell for it. I went to my free consultation, this I found out later was free because they would get money later. I explained to them I have been told I have a lot of bone loss so worry I am not able to get this done. The doctor came in after the 2d exam and explained to me he could do one with 4 implants. Although not the one I wanted as I want the nonremovable, these were affordable and could be done. They then come in and give you a sheet with the full plan.
Went in and spent all day got a new upper denture and ask if it could be tighter dentist told assistance to let me get back in and get a soft liner on them so this was on sat when I called back on Monday the man that works behind the desk told me they don’t see people around 4 but he said I will ask the dr and call you back tomorrow and let you know, so I called in today on Saturday hoping to catch him in my dentures don’t line up and I cannot chew food with them and they are spots that have rub my gums sore and next week this coming Monday I will call bbb and will put a review on the internet that they will not like for business.

Downsides to this office are the wait times. They are busy and take patients who are going to take longer first, especially on extraction day. If you can be realistic about this then you won't be disappointed. I've read the reviews about bad experiences with Affordable Dentures but it seems to depend on the location and in Cedar Rapids, they are professionals.

The first visit was nice enough. The receptionists were polite even if they didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing. The brain senses the appliance and interprets it as 'food', sending messages to the salivary glands to produce more saliva and to secrete it at a higher rate. This usually only happens in the first 12 to 24 hours, after which the salivary glands return to their normal output. A few denture adjustments in the days following insertion of the dentures can take care of this problem. Gagging is another problem encountered by a minority of patients. At times, this may be due to a denture that is too loose, too thick or extended too far posteriorly onto the soft palate. At times, gagging may also be attributed to psychological denial of the denture. Psychological gagging is the most difficult to treat since it is out of the dentist's control. In such cases, an implant-supported palateless denture may have to be constructed. Sometimes there could be a gingivitis infection under the completed dentures, caused by the accumulation of dental plaque. One of the most common problems for wearers of new upper complete denture is a loss of taste sensations.
I hate my dentures!!! I paid over $2000 for the ultimate denture, at the wax try in everything was fine. I had no problem with the dentures and I was told the gum on the denture would be a little dark as the wax was a bright pink color. I picked my permanent denture up a week later and the gums on the denture are black! I don't know if they feel all black people have black gums however, my real gums are not dark to start with. I asked what the cost would be to get the gums on the denture lightened and I was told they would have to be re-made. I paid over $2000 and now it sounds like the only way to get the dentures done right I would have to purchase a new pair. THIS IS VERY DISAPPOINTING! I cannot believe I recommended this place to people. I feel like I flushed $2000 down the toilet! I am currently wearing my immediate dentures (cheap economy dentures) I received after surgery and they look better than my permanent dentures (expensive ultimate dentures). My advise to everyone is to not sign anything until you know for certain what the end result is. They only focus on how short or long you want the teeth, no one says anything about how the gums attached to the teeth are going to look. I feel if you pay that kind of money they should be done right!

The simple truth is I was broke like I imagine most people who use Affordable Dentures are. The total cost to save my teeth was looking to be upwards of 10,000 dollars. I wanted my teeth pulled and Affordable Dentures was my only option due to financial issues.
There are several types of partial and full dentures. Complete dentures, also called full dentures, may be recommended when all teeth in the upper or lower jaw are missing. There are two options for complete dentures: immediate and conventional. Immediate dentures are made before the patient's teeth are removed and can be inserted as soon as the tooth removal surgery is complete.
The different types of complete dentures include Conventional, Immediate and Implant-retained. Conventional Dentures which are applied after the teeth are extracted and the gums are allowed to heal – takes around 8-12 weeks. Dentures do not function like natural teeth. It takes time to learn how to properly use dentures. Food must be cut up into small pieces and be placed on the back teeth on both sides to balance chewing. Denture chewing occurs up and down bilaterally, not on one side. One sided chewing will cause the dentures to dislodge. Biting with the front denture teeth will cause the back of the dentures to dislodge. Dentures only function properly when force is applied evenly over the entire chewing surface of the back teeth.

It takes some time to find the best way to insert and take out the dentures, and the gums will be a little sore in places at first. CONOVER, NORTH CAROLINA -- This place is as crooked as it gets. I went over with the dentist several times the teeth I wanted extracted and he still pulled a perfectly good tooth. The business is so crappy that the owner won't even talk to me or look at the big cavity in the tooth beside the good one he pulled. It had a hole in it about as big around as a cigarette. I was told I would have to pay again to have it removed period. I think it was done just out of greed to make more money. I'll never go there again and I would suggest you don't go either.
After deciding on having the extractions and the full plate, I decided on the "Premium" denture. You can see 3 different types of dentures. Economy, Good and Premium. It's pretty easy, if you want the longest lasting, then get the premium. Economy dentures often break after a couple years... I had to pay the full amount right then, before they would go any further. They want all the money in advance or they don't do the dentures. Be prepared to pay up front in full, before you go, or don't go.
I had the procedure done about 5 years ago and I'm down to one implant left. After the other 3 failed, I can say that one of them was my fault but the others I just feel were not seated properly and from what I researched I think 2 of my implants the dentist burned the bones so they inevitably failed. In fact the 1st one failed within 6 months and I knew walking out the day of the procedure something wasn't right with it but I was told it was just "healing".

As of now I essentially have no teeth and won't until at least 2-3 months later when I am supposed to return for my "permanent denture". It is incredibly humiliating having to go out in public with no teeth. I returned to ask what they could do and they wanted around 300 bucks for a reline but recommended I just get a new denture made (which they of course wanted to charge me around 600 bucks for). I couldn't believe what I was hearing. They made an awful denture and refused to fix it. Suddenly all of the nightmare stories began to make sense. I kindly told them to screw off and that I would just wait a few months.
I also am so afraid that my heart doctor may be upset because I was so desperate to have my tooth pulled that I put the dental assistant on my cellphone with my doctor's nurse and she talked really nasty to her. She told my doctor "No dentist worth his weight would accept that fax". Then the dentist told me that he has never had a problem with a heart doctor giving him the note he needed and that they were just after money because they said I would have to have a cardiac evaluation. I told him that I really liked my heart doctor.

Eating with new dentures will take a little practice and may be uncomfortable for some wearers for a few weeks. To get used to the new denture, start with soft foods cut into small pieces. Chew slowly using both sides of your mouth. As you get used to new dentures, add other foods until you return to a normal diet. Be cautious with hot or hard foods and sharp-edged bones or shells. And, avoid foods that are extremely sticky or hard. You should also avoid chewing gum while you wear the denture. Also, don't use toothpicks while wearing dentures.
